Get ready for an exciting summer of athletic fun at the Fast Feet Youngstown event, taking place from May 4 to June 8, 2025, at the Boardman High School Stadium in Boardman Township, Mahoning! This engaging five-week program is designed for kids in grades K-6 who are ready to enhance their running skills and dive into the world of track and field. Each Sunday, participants will enjoy two sessions—one from 10:30 am to 11:30 am and another from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm—where they will explore a variety of events, including the 100 meters, hurdles, long jump, 4x100 meter relay, throws, and a half-mile run.
Designed for children aged 5 and up who have prior experience, Fast Feet Youngstown focuses on building knowledge and confidence in track events. Participants will receive a T-shirt, water, and a fruit snack after each session, along with free registration for "The Mile," a celebratory 1-mile run/walk event on June 8. WHEN: Five weeks, on Sundays (May 4, 11, 18, 25, June 8)
Session 1: 10:30am to 11:30am
Session 2: 12:00pm to 1:00pm
LEVEL 2! This group is designed to build on knowledge of running and track events from the previous year.
*Participants must be at least 9 years old and have participated in a previous season.
WHERE: Boardman High School Stadium, 7777 Glenwood Ave, Boardman, OH 44512
WHO CAN JOIN: Kids Grade K - 6. *Must be 5 years old to participate.
WHAT: Get out, get active, and learn about Track and Field! Each week kids will be broken into groups based on their age and rotate through multiple events learning about each one: Events include: 100 meters, Hurdles, Long Jump, 4x100 Meter Relay, Throws, and 1/2 Mile Run.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: T-shirt, Water and a Fruit Snack following each week's event, and free registration into "The Mile", a 1-Mile Run/Walk event held on June 8 (week 5) at Boardman High School.
COST: $55 per child
