The FBE JUNETEENTH 5K is an annual community race hosted by FIT, BLACK, AND EDUCATED, INC. (FBE).
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas and announced that enslaved people were freemore than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
Today, JUNETEENTH is recognized as a COMMEMORATION AND CELEBRATION OF FAMILY, LIBERATION, HERITAGE, UNITY, AND RESILIENCE.
Through movement, the FBE Juneteenth 5K brings our community together to celebrate this important history while promoting health, wellness, and unity.

Participants of all fitness levels are welcome to run, walk, or roll the 3.1-mile course while honoring Juneteenth and promoting health and wellness. Registration includes a finisher medal, race bib, and post-race celebration. Optional race shirts are available as add-ons during registration while supplies last. -
