Join us for the exciting Fiddlers 5k, Kids Fun Run, and Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in the charming city of Athens, Limestone! This annual event, organized by the Athens State University Alumni Association, promises a day full of fun and community spirit while supporting scholarships for students, including the Nazaretian Scholarship in honor of Dr. Angeline Nazaretian.
Participants can look forward to an exhilarating 5k race that winds through the picturesque historical district of Athens, with a USAT certified route that begins and ends at Athens State University. For our younger runners, the Kids Fun Run is a delightful opportunity to get active and enjoy the day, complete with a special appearance from Hebrew the Bear! In addition to the races, families can enjoy a vibrant Fun Day filled with activities, including an inflatable slide, a bouncy house, and delicious free hamburgers and hot dogs. With a goal of attracting 250 runners and creating a memorable family-friendly atmosphere, this event is not to be missed!

The Athens State University Alumni Association is hosting the annual Fiddlers 5k Race, Kids Fun Run, and Family Fun Day event. The proceeds from this event will provide scholarships benefit for new and current students. Also, proceeds will benefit the Nazaretian Scholarship in honor of Dr. Angeline Nazaretian. This fun day will feature an inflatable slide, bouncy house, and free hamburgers and hot dogs.
Our USAT certified race route will begin and end at Athens State University and will showcase the historical district in Athens. Our free Kids fun run will start and end on Athens State Campus and will be highlighted by an appearance from Hebrew the Bear. Our goal is to have 250 runner, showcase the history and beauty of Athens, and provide our community with a family friendly event that everyone can participate in.

We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
