Join us for the Firecracker Classic Road Race on July 2, 2026, in the picturesque village of Cotuit, Barnstable. This exciting event is set to kick off the holiday weekend with a vibrant atmosphere and a scenic 5K course that is primarily flat, making it perfect for runners of all levels. Participants will enjoy a delightful tour through Cotuit, culminating at historic Lowell Field, home to the Cotuit Kettleers baseball team.
Not only will you have the chance to compete for prizes, including delicious Large Cherry Pies for the fastest male and female runners, but every age category winner will also take home a small cherry pie! With categories spanning from ages 10 and under to 90-99, there's a place for everyone. Plus, every kid who finishes the race will receive a free ice cream cone from Polar Cave! After the race, join us for an after party featuring two complimentary beers and tasty food. This fantastic event supports local organizations, including the Barnstable Land Trust and the Cotuit Athletic Association. Don’t miss out on this festive day of fun, fitness, and community spirit!

Organiser's Description
Kick off the holiday weekend with a special America at 250 running of the Firecracker Classic in the beautiful village of Cotuit. The approximately 5K course is fast and mostly flat and provides runners with a lovely tour through the village to finish at historic Lowell Field, the home of the Cotuit Kettleers Cape League Baseball team. Your registration includes 2 free beers and food at the after party.
