This exciting 8-week social movement series invites walkers, interval trainers, and runners of all ages and paces to stay active during winter while enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded individuals. Each Saturday morning, starting at 8 AM, participants will explore the beautiful Roanoke River Greenway System, with route options of 1.5 miles, 3 miles, and 5 miles.
Join in the fun and challenge yourself as you connect with friends and family, all while sipping on coffee from RND Coffee. Whether you’re looking to stay fit or simply want to make new memories during the holiday season, Winter Warriors is the perfect opportunity to finish 2025 strong and kick off 2026 on the right foot. _PROGRAM DESCRIPTION_
Join us in this 8-week social movement series for walkers, interval-trainers, and runners as we embark on exploring the Town of Vinton and enjoying camaraderie over a cup of coffee! Winter Warriors is Fleet Feet Roanoke's active winter social program! It's purpose is to encourage all ages and paces to stay active (and sane) during the colder months of the year. It allows you to meet up and run or walk with other like-minded people who want to finish out 2025 strong and kick off 2026 right! So let's challenge ourselves to get outside, defeat the winter weather, and become a true Winter Warrior.
Bring your family and friends! This series is open to the public - all ages and paces are welcome. Have family visiting for the holidays? Bring them along for a morning full of memories in the making, all while showcasing our incredible community at Fleet Feet Roanoke and RND Coffee, as well as the beauty of the Roanoke River Greenway System.

_ROUTES & PERKS_
Weekly routes will include 1.5-mile, 3-mile, and 5-mile options. This is a great way to meet some new walking/running friends and to stay accountable during the winter months. You'll receive a punch card and a special "star punch" from Coach Pat for each Winter Warriors meetup that you attend. Once you reach 5 punches, you'll get a FREE coffee on us!
You're not going to want to miss out on your annual commemorative Winter Warriors hoodie, with custom-designed artwork by one of our faithful Run Club friends, Dawn Parris. Hoodies will be available for purchase throughout the series.
_RULES AND REQUIREMENTS_
Participants must carry emergency contact information with them at all times. Participants must follow Greenway etiquette and be respectful of other pedestrians on the Greenway and sidewalks. These workouts are open to all paces and experience levels. We encourage reflectivity and lights for every participant when there is minimal sunlight. We also encourage every participant to have hydration.
