Join us for the 17th Annual Footprints Forever 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in beautiful Lafayette, Louisiana! This uplifting event supports Maddie's Footprints Acadiana, a nonprofit dedicated to providing emotional and financial support to families who have experienced the heart-wrenching loss of a child. With race distances of both 5K and 1 mile, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a fun day out with family and friends.
The festivities kick off at 7:30 AM at River Ranch Square, where participants can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere filled with camaraderie and community spirit. Don’t miss the special Remembrance Celebration at 10:00 AM, honoring the precious little ones we hold in our hearts. With awards for top finishers in various age groups and a virtual option available for those unable to attend in person, this event is a wonderful opportunity to support a meaningful cause. This race benefits Maddies Footprints Acadiana, supporting families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or the loss of a child under one year of age.

Founded in 2010 in memory of Madeline Noelle McGrew, Maddies Footprints provides emotional and financial support to families during unimaginable loss.

At approximately 10:00 am, we will remember our babies in a special way with a Remembrance Celebration. Make plans to stick around to show your support of the 1 in 4 as we pay tribute to our little ones who were gone too soon and enjoy music, food, fun jumps, and more!
One in four pregnancies ends in loss. Together, we can make sure no family walks through that alone.
