The Ford City 5k is one of the largest and funnest race events in the region. In 2024, over 600 runners finished the 5k. The 5k race will begin at 9am and then immediately after the 5k is a popular half mile kids race for ages 10 and under, which will begin around 10am. During and after the races will be live music by the Jentz Band, food and drink vendors, and kids activities such as bubble cannons and bounce houses. The 5k course is a certified course through the town of Ford City that typically draws in many spectators. It is a flat course and ideal for walkers and runners.
