Get ready for an exhilarating morning at the Up, Up, and Away 5K, taking place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the picturesque Kent State University at Stark campus in North Canton, Stark. This vibrant event invites both serious runners and casual walkers to join in on the fun, while enjoying the stunning backdrop of colorful hot air balloons soaring above (weather permitting). The main 5K race kicks off at 8:15 AM, followed by a FREE Kids Fun Run around 9:00 AM, designed for children ages 8 and under. This non-competitive fun run encourages kids to embrace fitness in a lively and supportive atmosphere!
Participants can look forward to a fantastic experience filled with camaraderie, exercise, and achievement. With awards for the top finishers in various age categories, as well as finisher medals for all 5K participants, there’s plenty of motivation to lace up those running shoes! Don't miss the chance to experience the excitement and beauty of the Kent State University at Stark campus, while hot air balloons float in the sky (weather permitting), on Saturday morning, July 26, for our UP, UP & AWAY 5K presented by OrthoUnited. This event is for both serious and casual runners and walkers.
Following the 5K run, at approximately 9:00 am, there will be a FREE KIDS FUN RUN on the track near the finish line. This is a non-competitive fun run for children ages 8 & under. This race is all about fun and friends while teaching them the importance of exercise and fitness! Waiver MUST be signed by parent/guardian.
