Get ready for a morning filled with excitement and community spirit at the Up, Up, and Away 5K on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the beautiful Kent State University at Stark campus in North Canton, Stark. This vibrant event invites both serious runners and casual walkers to participate in a scenic 5K run, all while enjoying the enchanting sight of hot air balloons in the sky, weather permitting. The race kicks off at 8:15 AM, followed by a delightful FREE Kids Fun Run at approximately 9:00 AM, perfect for children ages 8 and under. This non-competitive fun run is designed to instill the joy of exercise and fitness in young participants, so gather your family and friends for a memorable day of fun and fitness!
Participants in the Up, Up, and Away 5K will receive finisher medals, with awards presented to the top three male and female runners overall, as well as in various age categories. Don’t forget to register early to secure your race keepsake and a stylish short sleeve athletic t-shirt! Don't miss the chance to experience the excitement and beauty of the Kent State University at Stark campus, while hot air balloons float in the sky (weather permitting), on Saturday morning, July 26, for our UP, UP & AWAY 5K presented by OrthoUnited. This event is for both serious and casual runners and walkers.
Following the 5K run, at approximately 9:00 am, there will be a FREE KIDS FUN RUN on the track near the finish line. This is a non-competitive fun run for children ages 8 & under. This race is all about fun and friends while teaching them the importance of exercise and fitness! Waiver MUST be signed by parent/guardian.
