Get ready for a day of fun and fitness at the 1st Annual Freedom Ride Animal Rescue 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk & Wag on Saturday, September 21st, 2024! Located in the heart of Monmouth, Warren, this exciting event kicks off with the 1 Mile Walk & Wag at 9:30 AM, followed by the 5K run at 10 AM, both starting and finishing at First Christian Church on N Sunny Ln. Bring your furry friends along, as well-behaved pets on leashes are more than welcome to join the festivities!
Participants can compete for medals in various categories, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for men, women, and those 17 and under in the 5K. Plus, there’s a special prize for the first dog to cross the finish line! With registration fees at $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 Mile Walk (with free entry for children aged 6 and under), don’t miss out on securing your event t-shirt by registering before September 6th, 2024. Please join us on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, for our 1st annual 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk & Wag. Our 5K will start at 10am and our 1 Mile Walk & Wag will begin at 930am, race packets can be picked up on Race Day after 8am. All Medal winners for their divisions will be given out after our 1 Mile Walk & Wag. Well behaved pets on leashes are welcome to come. Both races will start and finish at First Christian Church 514 N Sunny Ln, Monmouth, IL 61462. * Children 6 years old and under are free to participate in the 1 mile walk with a registered adult.
There will be Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the 5K for Men, Women and 17 & Under Divisions. There will also be a prize for the 1st dog across the finish line.
5K Registration fee $25 before September 6th, 2024- to guarantee your t-shirt on race day.
1Mile Registration fee $20 before September 6th, 2024- to guarantee your t-shirt on race day.
***New Addition to our Event: Do you want to help support our Rescue and participate in our event but live out of state or are busy? No Problem. We have decided to add a virtual portion to our 5K! Anyone interested in signing up registration will be open until 11:59pm on Friday September 13th, 2024. During your registration you will have the option to have a t shirt shipped to you which is included in the price or donate the cost of your t-shirt back to the rescue instead of us shipping you one. After you sign up you will have until Friday September 20th to submit your time to our email [email protected] and we will post the result on our Facebook page and website. We would ask that you include a link to your run on the app that you use or a photo of your time to complete. No medals will be awards for the Virtual 5K this year but we will email a certificate of competition with your time submitted.
