The 5K race kicks off at 9 AM, followed by the 1 Mile Walk & Wag at 9:30 AM, both starting and finishing at First Christian Church located at 514 N Sunny Ln, Monmouth, IL.
Bring your well-behaved pets on leashes and enjoy a day filled with fun, fitness, and furry friends! Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in various divisions for the 5K, along with a special prize for the first dog to cross the finish line. Plus, for those unable to attend in person, a virtual 5K option is available, allowing participants from anywhere to join in the fun! Please join us on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, for our 2nd annual 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk & Wag. Our 5K will start at 9am and our 1 Mile Walk & Wag will begin at 930am, race packets can be picked up on Race Day after 8am. All Medal winners for their divisions will be given out after our 1 Mile Walk & Wag. Well behaved pets on leashes are welcome to come. Both races will start and finish at First Christian Church 514 N Sunny Ln, Monmouth, IL 61462. * Children 6 years old and under are free to participate in the 1 mile walk with a registered adult. *On Site Restrooms will be available*
There will be Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the 5K for Men, Women and 17 & Under Divisions. There will also be a prize for the 1st dog across the finish line and our top Virtual 5K finisher.

***New Addition to our Event: Do you want to help support our Rescue and participate in our event but live out of state or are busy? No Problem. We have decided to add a virtual portion to our 5K! Anyone interested in signing up registration will be open be able to turn in your hours Starting Sept 26th through October 10th. During your registration you will have the option to have a t shirt shipped to you which is included in the price or donate the cost of your t-shirt back to the rescue instead of us shipping you one. After you sign up you will have until Friday October 10th, 2025 at 11:59pm to submit your time to our email [email protected] and we will post the result on our Facebook page and website. We would ask that you include a link to your run on the app that you use or a photo of your time to complete. Medal for 1st place finisher overall will be awarded for the Virtual 5K .
