Get ready for an exciting day of community spirit and fundraising at the Freeze For Food event on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, in beautiful Madison, Dane County! This vibrant event invites participants to run or walk a 5K at 12 PM or challenge themselves with a 10K run at 1 PM, all while supporting Madison's Open Doors for Refugees. The festivities will take place at Vilas Park Shelter, located at 1602 Vilas Park Drive, where attendees can enjoy a fun-filled atmosphere while making a positive impact on food security in the area.
Not only will you have the chance to get moving for a great cause, but you can also contribute to the Goodman Community Center Fritz Food Pantry by bringing non-perishable food items to the race. Plus, don't forget to pick up your racer bib in advance at Movin' Shoes on February 28th or on race day! Join fellow community members in this uplifting event that never cancels and helps make a difference in the lives of many. We can’t wait to see you there!

This year we will also host a food drive for the Goodman Community Center Fritz Food Pantry. On race day, bring your non-perishable pantry donations to the Vilas Park Shelter where we will have a collection bin. Additionally, we will be collecting bags for the food pantry! Please bring your plastic, paper or cloth bags to donate. Our runners have always been strong supporters of food security projects, and we thank you.
