Additionally, if the 5,000m feels a bit too daunting, there are other options available! Join in on the Open Mile Run or let the little ones participate in the 100 Meter Kids Run. The event kicks off at 9:00 AM with the Mile Run, followed by the Kids Race at 9:30 AM, and the main 5,000m Run at 9:40 AM. To top off the day, a thrilling 4x400m relay will take place at 10:15 AM. 5,000M RUN IS A TERM USED TO DESCRIBE A 5K ON THE TRACK. ATHLETES DOING TRACK IN COLLEGE USUALLY DO FOR DISTANCE EVENTS EITHER A 5,000M OR A 10,000M RUN! THAT'S 12.5 OR 25 LAPS ON THE TRACK!! FUN! :)
IF YOU HAVE NEVER RUN A 5,000M OR IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME, FOR SURE YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT!
