Event summary
Get ready for a festive and fun-filled day at the Frosty 5K, 1 Mile & Fun Run on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, in Old Saybrook, located in the beautiful Lower Connecticut River Valley! This exciting event caters to runners of all ages, kicking off with a delightful Fun Run for kids aged 3-7 at 9:00 AM, followed by a 1-mile race for ages 7-14 at 9:15 AM, and culminating with the 5K race starting at 9:45 AM.
With an entry fee of just $20 for the 5K (or $25 on race day) and only $10 for the kids' runs, participants will not only enjoy the thrill of competition but also receive a cup of hot chocolate and a chance to win fantastic door prizes. The first 100 5K participants will be rewarded with a custom-designed commemorative t-shirt. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each race category, making this event a great opportunity for runners to showcase their skills while supporting a worthy cause. Proceeds from the Frosty Run benefit scholarships for Old Saybrook High School students and local soup kitchens.

1 mile run for ages 7-14 begins at 9:15 am
5K begins at 9:45 am
ENTRY FEE: 5K $20.00 before Dec.6th, $25.00 to register day of race. Kids fun run (no shirt) and 1 mile run (no shirt) $10.00 race entry fee and get a cup of hot chocolate and a ticket to win a door prize basket.
T-SHIRTS: First 100 participants in the 5K will receive a custom designed commemorative t-shirt.
AWARDS: Awards (no duplicates) will be presented to top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female overall for all races.
The winners of the baskets will be announced after the Race You DO NOT need present to claim your prize we will call you.
