Get ready for an exhilarating day of running at the Game Changers Repeater 5k Challenge on Saturday, September 20, 2025, held on the beautiful St. Simons Island in Glynn County. This unique event invites participants to tackle as many 3-mile laps as they can within a 45-minute timeframe, with the challenge kicking off at 8:00 a.m. and concluding with the last lap at 5:00 p.m. Runners will begin and end their laps at the Game Changers store located in Red Fern Village, following the popular Monday night route.
With a fun twist, each completed lap not only brings the satisfaction of distance conquered but also earns runners entries into a drawing for a chance to win a free pair of shoes from Game Changers. The more laps you complete, the more entries you get! Participants are encouraged to push their limits, as the overall winner will receive both a trophy and a pair of shoes, determined by who finishes the most laps and the fastest time in case of a tie. Game Changers Running Store and the Golden Isles Track Club Presents the Repeater 5k Challenge!
The Challenge: Run as many 3-mile laps every 45 minutes as you can. If you complete all 12 laps, that will be 36 miles
12 x 45 minute 3 miles laps
8:00 a.m. Start
5:00 p.m. End of last lap
Laps begin and end at the Game Changers store in Red Fern Village, the route will be the Monday night usual route.
For each lap completed you will receive 1 or more entries to a drawing for 1 pair of free pair of shoes from Game Changers.
For example:
Lap 1 = 1 entry
Lap 2 = 2 entries
Lap 3 = 3 entries
Note:
To earn drawing entries, you must start at 8 a.m. and run the laps consecutively.
You can come after 8 a.m. to run laps but will not receive drawing entries.
-$10 fee +registration fee
* Overall Winner will receive a free pair of shoes and a medal/trophy. This is the only award for this event. Overall Winner is the runner who First, completes the most laps Secondly completes them the fastest in case of a tie.
-No shirts or age group awards
-A SWAG Bag for anyone who completes the challenge
-Encourage the use of Strava or Garmin to log the miles
-We will have a clock to track the 45 minutes per lap
