This unique running event invites participants to tackle as many 3-mile laps as they can within a 45-minute window, starting at 8:00 a.m. and concluding with the last lap at 5:00 p.m. Runners will gather at the Game Changers store in Red Fern Village, taking on the popular Monday night route.
With a thrilling format designed to push your limits, each completed lap earns you entries into a drawing for a chance to win a free pair of shoes from Game Changers—so the more laps you complete, the better your chances! The overall winner will not only take home a free pair of shoes but also a coveted medal or trophy. While there are no age group awards or shirts, all finishers will receive a special SWAG bag. Enjoy nutrition stations throughout the day, and be sure to track your progress with Strava or Garmin. Best of all, proceeds from this event will benefit the Glynn Academy Cross Country Team. Game Changers Running Store and the Golden Isles Track Club Presents the Repeater 5k Challenge!
The Challenge: Run as many 3-mile laps every 45 minutes as you can. If you complete all 12 laps, that will be 36 miles
12 x 45 minute 3 miles laps
8:00 a.m. Start
5:00 p.m. End of last lap
Laps begin and end at the Game Changers store in Red Fern Village, the route will be the Monday night usual route.
For each lap completed you will receive 1 or more entries to a drawing for 1 pair of free pair of shoes from Game Changers.
For example:
Lap 1 = 1 entry
Lap 2 = 2 entries
Lap 3 = 3 entries
Note:
To earn drawing entries, you must start at 8 a.m. and run the laps consecutively.
You can come after 8 a.m. to run laps but will not receive drawing entries.
-$10 fee +registration fee
* Overall Winner will receive a free pair of shoes and a medal/trophy. This is the only award for this event. Overall Winner is the runner who First, completes the most laps Secondly completes them the fastest in case of a tie.
-No shirts or age group awards
-A SWAG Bag for anyone who completes the challenge
-Encourage the use of Strava or Garmin to log the miles
-We will have a clock to track the 45 minutes per lap
-Must complete each 3-mile lap within 45 minutes
