Join us for the 3rd Annual Gathering Waters 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, in the picturesque town of Keene, Cheshire! This exciting fundraising event is designed to support the Gathering Waters Charter Schools movement and its athletics programs. The 5K race kicks off at 10:00 AM, taking participants on a scenic out-and-back trail route through the beautiful Appel Way and historic Jonathan Daniels trails, with the start and finish located at the Pavilion area in Wheelock Park.
For the little ones, a fun-filled 1-mile kids fun run will take place at 9:30 AM, giving children a chance to join in on the excitement before the main event. With a mostly packed dirt terrain, the course offers a delightful experience for runners and walkers alike. Be sure to arrive early for bib pickup between 9:00 and 9:45 AM, as parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged. After the race, enjoy a lively post-race celebration featuring a student showcase, delicious baked goods, a craft area, face painting, and Gathering Waters merchandise for sale. This race will be through groomed rail trails with a mix of paved park trails. -

This kids fun run will be 1 mile (half a mile up and back) on the trail starting at Wheelock Park, for those looking for a fun but do-able challenge! We will have volunteers running with the group and stationed at the turnaround point so they everyone feels comfortable about where they are going, although parents/guardians are encouraged to assist their little ones if they need extra support!
