Join us for the uplifting Gilbert Joseph & Brian Annual 5K (Gilbert JBA5K) on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in the beautiful Northwest Hills of Winsted! This special event is exclusively for Gilbert students and their families, aiming to foster community spirit while raising awareness and funds for essential mental health organizations. Kicking off at 10 AM, the day will include registration and check-in, with the race starting at 11 AM. Participants will have the opportunity to run or walk along a mapped 3.2-mile course, with a shorter 1-mile route available for those who prefer a gentler pace.
This year, we honor the memories of Joseph and Brian by supporting two vital charities: Hope for Depression and the JED Foundation. Fundraising efforts will begin on February 27, 2025, and participants are encouraged to contribute to these causes by creating their own fundraisers or donating directly. Alongside the race, local vendors will provide resources focused on mental health and family support, ensuring a day filled with positivity, awareness, and community engagement. Together, let’s make a meaningful impact in our Gilbert community!

_As of this year, the 5k is only open to students at Gilbert and their families. _
Join us for the annual JBA 5K on April 27, 2025, at the Gilbert School. The event will run from 10 AM to 2 PM, beginning with registration and check-in, followed by opening remarks, the run beginning at 11AM, and concluding with the presentation of donations to our chosen foundations. We will come together to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention in loving memory of Joseph and Brian. This event is dedicated to supporting two vital organizations: Hope for Depression, which focuses on innovative research and treatment options for depression, and the JED Foundation, which provides support for families and school-aged children struggling with mental health challenges. Participants will have the option to donate raised funds to either foundation, also having the ability to create their own fundraiser.
