Join us for an exhilarating day of mountain biking at the GlenVegas Gambler on Saturday, April 26, 2025, held at the scenic Beach Park in Lake Glendale Recreation Area. This exciting event features challenging trails that are meticulously crafted with flowy sections, rocky terrain, and lung-busting climbs, culminating in some of the fastest descents in the Shawnee National Forest.
Racers can expect an 8-mile lap for adults and youth, while kids will enjoy a 3-mile course designed for fun and speed. The racing kicks off at 10 AM with the Expert and Sport categories, followed by the Beginner and Youth races at 10:15 AM, and the Kids class at 10:30 AM. The trails, designated for mountain bike use, are maintained by dedicated volunteers from the Shawnee Mountain Bike Association, making this event not only a thrilling competition but also a way to support future trail building and maintenance.

Organiser's Description
The GlenVegas Gambler is at Lake Glendale Recreation Area. You can expect flow, chunky rocks and roots, lung and leg burning climbs and some of the fastest downhills in all of the Shawnee! These trails have been hand tuned and are maintained by members of the Shawnee Mountain Bike Association and other volunteers. These are the first trails to be designated for MTB use in the Shawnee National Forest and are some of the best riding we have in our area.. All proceeds from this race will support future trail building and maintenance by the Shawnee Mountain Bike Association.
Registration opens March 8th!
Racing will start at 10AM on Saturday, April 26th with the Experts and Sport/2 lap race will start and at 10:15AM the Beginner and Youth race will start. Finishing up with the kids class at 10:30. Registration and check-in will open at 8AM.
The course will be 8 miles per lap for adults and youth, and 3 miles for kids. The course will be taped and spray painted for fun and fast racing, helping even first time riders on these trails easily fly through the woods.
