The mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Hidalgo County is to advocate for the best interests of children in the foster care system by promoting and supporting quality volunteer representationensuring every child has the chance to grow up in a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.
In Hidalgo County, the need for CASA is undeniable. During fiscal year 20242025, 2,086 children spent time in foster care. Of those, CASA volunteers served 246 childrenonly 8.5% of the children who needed a dedicated voice in court. With your partnership, we can reach even more.
