The mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Hidalgo County is to advocate for the best interests of children in the foster care system by promoting and supporting quality volunteer representationensuring every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.
In Hidalgo County, the need for CASA is significant. During fiscal year 20242025, 2,086 children experienced foster care. CASA volunteers served 246 children, representing only 8.5% of those who needed a dedicated voice in court. With community support, we can reach more children who deserve advocacy and stability.
