EVENT OVERVIEW
The Go for the Gold Virtual Challenge is a community-wide walk, run, bike, or swim event designed to raise funds for student needs in our community. Since this is a virtual challenge, you pick the day and the distance...or set a goal to do a little each week; it's totally up to you. Proceeds will support our community in these ways:
Literacy initiatives in local libraries
Our sponsored scouting troop, Troop 212
School lunch debt payoffs for students in need
HOW IT WORKS
Participants:
Register for the event (all proceeds will be used as listed above).
Choose your activity - or a combination of activities (walk, run, bike, swim).
Set a personal goal or aim for a finisher certificate medal level, if you would like to (see Achievement Levels listed below).
Complete your activity anytime between May 1 May 31, 2026
Participants can:
Complete your goal in one day or spread it out over the entire month of May.
Tracking is flexible because it's self-reported!
ACHIEVEMENT LEVELS (DIGITAL MEDALS ON FINISHER CERTIFICATES)
Participants can Go for the Gold by reaching one of the following:
Bronze 5 miles (or equivalent activity)
Silver 15 miles
Gold 25+ miles
All participants receive a digital finisher certificate with their achievement level.
