GRANDMASTER ULTRAS: ARIZONA STRIP ADVENTURE EXCLUSIVELY FOR RUNNERS 50+!
Escape to the warm, sun-drenched Arizona Strip for an unforgettable ultrarunning experience! Conquer miles of rugged ATV trails, stunning desert vistas, Joshua trees, rocky canyons, and endless blue skies. This is your chance to test your grit on remote, beautiful terrain in the heart of the high desertwhere every step feels like a true adventure.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
* 100 MILER & 100K: Epic loops with 48-hour cutoffs start Friday 8:00 AM MST
* 50 MILER & 50K: Double the fun (or single for 50K) start Saturday 8:00 AM MST with 24-hour cutoffs
* Pacers allowed for 100M/100K after the first lap or when darkness falls; 50K/50M pacers permitted if finishing in the dark. RUNNERS 70+ get pacers from the start in ALL distancesbecause experience deserves every advantage!
THE COURSE PURE DESERT MAGIC
The heart of the event is the challenging 50K CLOCKWISE THELMA & LOUISE LOOP (PLUS A 6.2-MILE OUT-AND-BACK), with ~1,580 ft elevation gain/loss. Drop into a thrilling tunnel at mile 0.6, climb steep hills, cruise rocky ATV trails, and hit the iconic Thelma & Louise overlook at mile 19breathtaking views of Beaver Dam Wash that feel straight out of a classic adventure film! Max elevation ~2,605 ft, min ~1,722 ft.
* 50 MILER: Double the Thelma & Louise Loop before heading home (~2,450 ft gain/loss)
* 100K: Two full 50K loops
* 100 MILER: Two full 50M loops for the ultimate endurance test
Aid stations at Oasis, Cross Roads (water), Junction, Cattle Gate, Overlook, and morestocked with friendly volunteers ready to fuel your journey.
