This exciting family-friendly run/walk will take place at the Xenia Station, located at 150 South Miami Ave, bringing the community together to combat food insecurity in Greene County. With race start time set for 2:00 PM, participants can check in and pick up their race packets starting at 1:00 PM.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out with the family, this event offers both a 5K and a 10K distance to accommodate everyone. Proceeds from the race will directly support the Greene County FISH Food Pantry, which serves approximately 1,200 families each month, including many veterans. THE GREENE COUNTY FISH FOOD PANTRY IS HOLDING THE 1ST ANNUAL FRIENDS IN SERVICE OF HUMANITY (FISH) 5K AND 10K FAMILY-FRIENDLY RUN/WALK, BRINGING NEIGHBORS TOGETHER TO END FOOD INSECURITY IN GREENE COUNTY. PROCEEDS WILL BE USED BY THE FOOD PANTRY IN OUR FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER.
THERE IS A CONTINUOUS AND EVER-GROWING NEED FOR FOOD AMONG OUR NEIGHBORS. THE PANTRY SUPPORTS APPROXIMATELY 1200 FAMILIES PER MONTH. IN ADDITION, ON THE 2ND AND 4TH SATURDAY OF THE MONTH, WE ALSO PROVIDE SERVICES TO OVER 130 OF OUR NATIONS VETERANS.
