Get ready for an exciting summer of running at the Greenway Grand Prix, taking place from June 12 to July 24, 2026, in the beautiful surroundings of Huntsville, Madison! This family-friendly series features four thrilling races, each highlighting the city’s stunning greenway systems. Kick off the event with the 5K race on June 12 at Aldridge Creek Greenway near Publix. Next, lace up for the 4-mile race on June 26 at Indian Creek Greenway @ Creekwood Park. On July 17, push your limits with an 8K at Big Cove Creek Greenway, located at Hampton Cove Middle School. Finally, wrap up the series with a challenging 10K on July 24 at Aldridge Creek Greenway @ McGucken Park.
Participants who register for the full four-race bundle will receive a stylish race t-shirt at the first event, and every finisher will earn a commemorative medal at the final race. With mostly flat courses and minimal elevation change, this is the perfect opportunity for runners of all levels to enjoy the great outdoors while being part of a vibrant community. Welcome to the Greenway Grand Prix! This Family friendly series consists of 4 races on 4 different dates, ONE Grand Prix!
6/12/2026: Greenway Grand Prix 5K (Aldridge Creek Greenway near Publix)
6/26/2026: Greenway Grand Prix 4 Mile (Indian Creek Greenway @ Creekwood Park)
7/17/2026: Greenway Grand Prix 8K (Big Cove Creek Greenway @ Hampton Cove Middle School)
7/24/2026: Greenway Grand Prix 10K (Aldridge Creek Greenway @ McGucken Park)
All of these races will take place on our wonderful greenway systems throughout Huntsville. We will highlight three different greenways (Aldridge twice), one per date. All of the races will be out and back with very little elevation change.
Everyone who signs up for the 4 race bundle will receive a race t-shirt AND finisher medal. The finisher medal will be handed out at the fourth and final race in the series while the t-shirt will be handed out at the first race of the series. Those who sign up for the individual races will have the option to add on a t-shirt at checkout for $15.

CLOSED6/12/2026 This 5K will take place on the Aldridge Creek Greenway off Mountain Gap Road. Start and finish line will be near Ken Johnston Park. People should carpool as much as possible and Park in the back of the Publix Parking Lot (12796 Bailey Cove Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35803) 6/26/2026 This 4 Mile will take place on the Indian Creek Greenway off Harvest Rd Ct. Start and finish line will be near Creekwood Park. People should carpool as much as possible as parking is very limited and some people will be forced to park further up the hill in the neighborhood. Address: 360 Harvestwood Ct, Madison, AL 35758 7/17/2026 This 8K will take place on the Big Cove Creek Greenway. The start will be a short walk from Hampton Cove Elementary to the greenway entrance behind Publix. The race will finish near Hampton Cove Elementary. Address: 261 Old Hwy 431, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763 7/24/2026 This 10K will take place on the Aldridge Creek Greenway and start & finish will be at Ditto Landing. Address: 293 Ditto Landing Rd SE, Huntsville, AL 35803 -
