Join us for the vibrant Harrisburg Heroes Run on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the picturesque City Island in Harrisburg, Dauphin County. This exciting event features a spirited 5K walk/run along with a FREE 1-mile Legacy Loop walk/run, making it perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Kick off the day with registration and check-in starting at 9:00 AM, followed by the 5K race at 10:00 AM and the 1-mile fun run at 11:00 AM.
Dress in red, white, and blue or as your favorite hero to show your support for our local heroes while enjoying delicious offerings from food trucks, live music, and the camaraderie of fellow participants. Don't miss the opportunity to collect a free t-shirt with your 5K registration and a rubber bracelet for the first finishers of the 1-mile loop. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Wills for Heroes program, providing essential legal services to veterans and first responders. LIVE MUSIC!: Guitars4Vets [https://guitars4vets.org/], a national nonprofit helping veterans with PTSD and other service-related trauma through music, will be playing and giving demonstrations at our event for 1 hour! CLOSED10/17/25 Update: we're almost out of shirts! This event is eligible for trophies, a free t-shirt, and professional timing by pretzelcitysports.com. **After 9/19, t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed and shirts are available on a first-come basis.** They can be picked up early with bibs on 10/18/25 at Koons Park, Pavilion #1 between 2-7PM. Park address: 6030 Larue St, Linglestown, PA 17112. Shirt pickup also available at check-in 9AM at the event. Order by 9/19 to get a guaranteed size t-shirt. After that we'll have a few on hand of various sizes, but shirts can not be guaranteed after 9/19/25. If we're out of shirts when you register, we can mark you down to mail you one for free. -
