The first 200 pre-registered participants will receive a limited edition event gift, and every runner will earn a medal for their efforts!
Expect plenty of thrills as you dodge zombies, show off your costume, and compete for exciting prizes during the Zombie Costume Awards Ceremony after the race. What to expect!?
Participants will endure a run through haunted and zombie-infested HAUNTED OAK course, that takes place in Old Oak Country Club,14200 S Parker Rd, Homer Glen, IL 60491. Those who wish to interact with the zombies will get to test your speed, endurance, and strength while trying to avoid the zombies! Costumes are highly encouraged so the zombies think that you are one of them!
Post-Race
After the run ( if youre still alive) well have beer, soda, water and Bloody Maries at the cash bar for your further enjoyment!
Awards
Join us after the 5k for Zombie Costume Awards Ceremony!! Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers. There also will be prizes & awards for Best Couple, Creepy super hero, Best Little Terror and drop Dead Beauty costumes!
PROCEEDS FROM THE EVENT GO TO FUND THREE AREAS OF CHICAGO LITHUANIANS ROTARY CLUB GIVING:
* The Rotary Foundations international peace, education, health, and community development programs, in particular, Rotary International's worldwide effort to eliminate polio through our Polio Plus.
* Projects carried out by local schools and charitable organizations: such as backpack and school supply distribution, aide to women and children in shelters, and creating safe play areas for kids.
* Together with Chicago Lithuanians Running Club promote health awareness and a fitness lifestyle for children and adults in our communities.
