EVENT INFO: 5th Annual Healthy Kids' Day 5k Walk/Run

RACE START TIME: 8:00 AM

RACE LOCATION: NSYMCA, 2705 Techny Rd. Northbrook, IL 60062

PACKET PICK UP: Friday, May 10th from 8 am -8 pm. Race Day, at the registration tent between 7 am - 7:30 am

RACE PARKING: NSYMCA Parking Lot & Surrounding Neighborhood

TOP FINISHERS: Prizes will be given to the overall finisher in both age categories 18 and under and 19+.

RACE COURSE:

* Police and volunteer marshals will staff intersections and direct traffic, but the course will not be completely closed to traffic.
* There will be no restrooms on the course. You may use restrooms at the North Suburban YMCA.

RACE SHIRTS:

* Every participant that registers by Thursday, April 25th will receive a short-sleeved T-shirt, both adult and youth sizes.
* Registrations after April 25th, will not get a T-shirt.

TIMING & RESULTS: CHIP TIMING! This race is professionally timed by J3 Timing [http://www.j3timing.com/]. Race Results will be posted online at www.nsymca.org [http://www.nsymca.org].

* Stroller Rider (untimed) receives an untimed bib.
* Stroller pusher signs up as a Youth or Adult will receive a timed bib.
* Wheelchair Pusher (untimed) receives a t-shirt and untimed bib if registered before April 28th.

MISC:

* Race will be held rain or shine.
* PARTICIPANTS THAT ARRIVE 15 MINUTES AFTER THE START OF THE RACE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE.

* DOGS ARE ALLOWED! Bring your pooch to the 5K!

* Pack walks are encouraged!
* Please bring supplies to clean-up after your pets.
* Dogs must be leashed. Harnesses are encouraged, but not required.
* Dog walking only. Running with dogs will not be permitted.
* Dog walkers will be in the walking corrals at the end of the race.

* All participant entries are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
* There is no minimum or maximum age, so feel free to bring the kids or grandparents and make it a family activity.
* Anyone under the age of 12 should be accompanied by a grown-up on course.
* Wheelchair athletes are permitted.

SAFETY: For safety reasons, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, and bicycles of any kind will not be allowed. Strollers will be allowed but must start behind the run. All proceeds go back to the NSYMCA.
