RUCKING IS THE ACTION OF WALKING WITH WEIGHT ON YOUR BACK. WALKING WITH A WEIGHTED RUCKSACK (AKA BACKPACK) IS A LOW IMPACT EXERCISE BASED ON MILITARY TRAINING WORKOUTS.
WHAT ARE THE RUCKING CATEGORIES/GROUPS FOR THIS EVENT?
RUCKING WEIGHT IS BASED ON OVERALL BODY WEIGHT. FOR THIS EVENT, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO CATEGORIES: UNDER 150 LBS AND OVER 150 LBS.
PARTICIPANTS UNDER 150 LBS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY A 10 LB RUCKSACK OR BACKPACK.
PARTICIPANTS OVER 150 LBS ARE REQUIRED TO CARRY A 20 LB RUCKSACK OR BACKPACK.
ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THEIR OWN BACKPACK AND WEIGHTS FOR THE RACE.
