This impactful Fun Run/Walk invites participants to take part in a meaningful 22-lap journey around the scenic YMCA park at 115 CB Crook Drive, raising awareness for veteran suicide, which tragically claims the lives of an average of 22 veterans daily. Whether you choose to walk one lap or tackle all 22, your participation will help shine a light on this important issue.
For just a $25 registration fee, you’ll receive a commemorative t-shirt if you pre-register by October 31, 2024. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the NC Brain Injury Association, supporting vital research for Traumatic Brain Injuries that affect many veterans. Did you know that an average of 22 veterans lose their lives by suicide daily? Help raise awareness of veteran suicide by participating in a 22 lap run/walk around the YMCA park located at 115 CB Crook Drive, Albemarle. Walk every lap or just how many you feel you can do. This Fun Run/Walk is sponsored by VFW Post 2908 Auxiliary.. A portion of the proceeds will support NC Brain Injury Association, a non-profit organization support research for Traumatic Brain Injuries which impacts the lives of many veterans.
Registration fee is $25 and includes a commemorative t-shirt on the event on race day if pre-registered by 10/31/2024. Registrations after 11/01/2024 are not guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt at event, but will be provided one as long as supplies last.
