Organiser's Description
Come run (or walk!) for HEF's annual 5K, held in conjunction with Christmas in God's Country!
Join us in person on November 21, or join us virtually if you can't make it in person. Entry fees raise money for Hondo Education Foundation, which funds grants annually for teachers and students at Hondo ISD. Start with the race and finish with Christmas in Gods Country!
During the 2025-2026 school year, HEF awarded $39,600 in grants to Hondo ISD teachers and $46,000 to assist with Chromebook replacements for the district. For the 2026-2027 school year, HEF is projecting awarding $26,000 in grants and also hoping to fill some special requests HISD has. Your race entry fee makes it possible for us to continue funding these grants and needs, that are not funded through other channels.
