This vibrant event proudly stands as Kansas City's first and only 5K dedicated to benefiting Hospice and Palliative Care. Since its inception in 2014, the Heroes for Hospice race has raised an impressive $248,000 to support Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and Midland Care Hospice of Topeka and Lawrence.
Participants will enjoy a scenic route around the Lions Gate Golf Course, starting and finishing at the REI in Prairiefire. This family-friendly race welcomes runners, walkers, and even stroller and wagon riders, making it a perfect outing for everyone. Celebrate the spirit of community while competing for awards for the top overall male and female winners, as well as masters runners. Plus, all registered participants will receive a complimentary Heroes for Hospice race shirt. If running isn’t your thing, you can still make a difference by donating to this fantastic cause. Our mission is to raise awareness and support for Hospice and Palliative Care, specifically benefiting those at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and Midland Care Hospice of Topeka and Lawrence. Since the 2014 inaugural race, Heroes for Hospice has raised and donated a net $248,000 to the two hospice houses!
This family friendly race will take place on a fun route around the Lions Gate Golf Course starting and finishing at REI in Prairiefire. Bring your friends and family out to support an amazing cause. Runners, walkers and stroller/wagon riders are all welcome join!
