Join us for the Heroes for Hospice 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, in Overland Park, Johnson! This festive event is Kansas City's first and only 5K dedicated to raising awareness and support for Hospice and Palliative Care. Since its inception in 2011, the Heroes for Hospice race has made a remarkable impact, raising over $228,000 for Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and Midland Care Hospice of Topeka and Lawrence.
The race will take place on a scenic route around the Lions Gate Golf Course, starting and finishing at REI in Prairiefire. It's a family-friendly event, welcoming runners, walkers, and even stroller and wagon riders! Participants will have the chance to compete for awards in various categories, including top overall male and female winners. Plus, every registered participant will receive a complimentary Heroes for Hospice race shirt. If running or walking isn’t your thing, you can still contribute to this noble cause through online donations. Bring your friends and family out for a day of fun, fitness, and philanthropy!

Our mission is to raise awareness and support for Hospice and Palliative Care, specifically benefiting those at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and Midland Care Hospice of Topeka and Lawrence. Since the 2011 inaugural race, Heroes for Hospice has raised and donated a net $228,000 to the two hospice houses!
This family friendly race will take place on a fun route around the Lions Gate Golf Course starting and finishing at REI in Prairiefire. Bring your friends and family out to support an amazing cause. Runners, walkers and stroller/wagon riders are all welcome join!
