The races kick off at 9:00 AM, featuring a scenic 5K and a newly added 10K route, both of which showcase a mostly flat course along the beautiful Big 4 Trail. For the little ones, a fun Kids Run will take place at 10:00 AM.
Join us in honoring the memory of Paul DelValley, a beloved community figure and former Pastor, whose legacy inspires this event. Proceeds from the races will benefit the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department and support Paul’s family. Registration is available on the day of the event at the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department, with the starting line located at Fire Station and the finish line at Colfax Christian Church, where participants can refuel with a complimentary breakfast. The Hickory Hustle 5K and Kids Run is back for 2025 with an added 10K option! Join us in Colfax, Indiana during Ole Hickory Days beginning with a fish fry on Friday, August 1st and continuing Saturday, August 2nd, 2025. The 5K and 10K on Saturday, August 2 begins at 9:00 am and includes a Kids Run beginning at 10:00 am. The theme of the race is in memory of Paul DelValley, the former Chaplin of the Perry Twp Volunteer Fire Department and the former Pastor of the Colfax Christian Church who passed away in 2024 from brain cancer leaving behind a wife and 4 children. All race proceeds and donations will benefit the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department and the family of Paul DelValley. Our course is mostly flat and includes a portion of the Big 4 Trail. Runners can register race day morning at the Perry Twp Vol Fire Dept located at 103 W. Main St in Colfax. The starting line is at Fire Station. The finish line is down the street at Colfax Christian Church, 314 S. Clark St.
Following the race hang around and race participants can enjoy a free breakfast at Colfax Christian Church. Breakfast donations are welcome and go to Dorcas Ladies.
