Join us for the Hiester Cares 5K Run-Walk to Prevent on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, in the beautiful town of Fuquay-Varina, Wake! This spirited event is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, with all proceeds from the race going directly to this vital cause.
The 5K course is set entirely on the scenic campus of Fuquay Varina High School, featuring broad sidewalks that make for a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. This USATF certified race has seen over 500 runners in previous years, collectively raising more than $250,000 to support mental health initiatives. Every participant will receive a stylish race t-shirt and a swag bag filled with goodies. Plus, we celebrate our top runners with awards for the top 3 overall men and women, as well as age group awards for competitors in categories ranging from 15 & under to 70+. This is a race put on by the Hiester Cares Foundation. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. In the past 3 years we have had over 500 runners and raised over $250,000!
