Participants can also purchase HIKEaTHON t-shirts for just $20 until June 5th, with all proceeds going directly to empower veterans and their families. For the month of June, the HIKE2 Wellness & Give2 Camps will be hosting the 5th Annual HIKE2 Virtual Half Marathon aka HIKEaTHON to benefit the Disabled American Veterans [https://www.dav.org]! Anyone within Hike2 and outside of Hike2 are welcome and encouraged to join as we race for a cause. HIKEaTHON tshirts are available for $20 until Friday, June 5th. All of the money raised from tshirts, donations and race registrations will be donated to the Disabled American Veterans [https://www.dav.org] who is providing LIFE-CHANGING SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO SERVED! Registration will be open from May 15 to June 14. Medals can be purchased as an add-on during registration. GIVE2 T-SHIRTS CAN BE PURCHASED THROUGH THE HIKEATHON STORE [https://runsignup.com/Race/Store/PA/Pittsburgh/HIKE2VirtualHalfMarathon] FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE OR AS AN ADD-ON DURING RACE REGISTRATION. The Disabled American Veterans [https://www.dav.org] are dedicated to a single purpose: EMPOWERING VETERANS TO LEAD HIGH-QUALITY LIVES WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of Americas injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life. This mission is carried forward by:
* Providing free, professional assistance to veterans and their families in obtaining benefits and services earned through military service and provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other agencies of government.
* Providing outreach concerning its program services to the American people generally, and to disabled veterans and their families specifically.
* Representing the interests of disabled veterans, their families, their widowed spouses and their orphans before Congress, the White House and the Judicial Branch, as well as state and local government.
* Extending DAVs mission of hope into the communities where these veterans and their families live through a network of state-level Departments and local Chapters.
* Providing a structure through which disabled veterans can express their compassion for their fellow veterans through a variety of volunteer programs.

Don't worry, you will have the entire month of June to record any walking, running, hiking or biking distance you have made, so there is no rush! But we will have different awards for those who are going above and beyond! NOTE: 3 BIKE MILES=1 HIKEATHON MILE.
