Organiser's Description

THE 5TH ANNUAL HILLSEEKER CHALLENGE IS BACK MARCH 1ST-3RD, 2024 -- GET READY TO CLIMB!

Hillseeker is our most popular event of the year and we can't wait to watch you guys and gals hammer the hills for a good cause. This event is our main fundraiser for our non-profit charity _WHAT LIMITS PROJECT_ that supports men in addiction recovery facilities that participate in our training programs in Georgia and Florida. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 which will allow us to continue growing the outreach of our mission to positively impact the lives of men battling addiction to build positive fitness habits.

We need your help showing people what's possible and pushing past perceived limits. YOU have the power and ability to motivate and inspire others by bringing your grit to the hills.

Please join us as we _CLIMB FOR RECOVERY_.

CHALLENGE DESCRIPTION
Hills open at 12:00 AM on Friday, March 1st and you've got until Sunday, March 3rd 11:59 PM to get your 30,000+ of elevation done as a team.

To complete this challenge each 4 person team must climb 30,000 feet of ascent collectively. As you've shown us in past events, some of you don't need much rest and have gone above and beyond the required event. Last year's winning team climbed over 96,000 feet as a group and one participant climbed over 42,000 feet solo! For 2024, we are challenging past participants to shoot for joining the 40,000 FOOT CLUB AS A TEAM.

No worries if you don't have a team, we have plenty of people to match you up with to get the job done. Go ahead and register and we'll be in touch. Grab your running crew and let's climb!

This is a _VIRTUAL EVENT_ so you can join from anywhere, but if you are local to the Atlanta area and want to grind out some elevation with a large group, we'll be at Sawnee Mountain @ Tower Road, parking at Cumming First United Methodist Preschool, starting at 7 AM on Day 2 (March 2nd).

WHAT LIMITS PROJECT
What Limits Project was born out of our commitment to training men in multiple men's addiction rehabilitation facilities across Georgia and Florida. We provide 5K to half marathon training programs for men in recovery that focuses on accountability, goal setting and building positive habits for mind, body, and soul. Over the past year we have trained well over 150 men and we're just getting started. Our core program is built around a 10-week training plan with an event at the end to reward the men for the commitment they have made to train. It's more than just miles! When you start believing in yourself, no matter what you've been told or the negative story you have on repeat in your head, a new path is possible. Recovery is possible. The funds being raised at the event provides race registrations, shoes and apparel when needed to ensure that if they commit to the program, we will be there to support.
