Join us for the Historic Elizabeth Main Street 5K & Family Color Run on Saturday, August 29, 2026, in the charming town of Elizabeth, Colorado! This exciting community event kicks off with a scenic 5K run/walk at 9:00 AM, winding through the picturesque historic Main Street and surrounding parks, offering a delightful mix of paved and dirt terrain suitable for everyone from competitive runners to families with strollers.
An hour later, at 10:00 AM, the fun continues with the Family Color Run, where participants of all ages can enjoy an untimed romp through vibrant color stations. This is a fantastic opportunity to create memorable moments with your loved ones while celebrating community spirit. After the races, stick around for a complimentary pancake breakfast, a refreshing drink courtesy of our local brewery, and shopping along Main Street. Plus, don't miss the Elizabeth Backyard BBQ Showdown starting at noon in Running Creek Park! With official timing provided by Colorado Race Timing and plenty of participant perks, it’s an event you won’t want to miss!

FROM COMPETITIVE RUNNERS TO FAMILIES WITH STROLLERS, EVERYONE'S WELCOME. AN HOUR AFTER THE 5K, THE FAMILY COLOR RUN KICKS OFF FOR A FUN, UNTIMED ROMP THROUGH COLOR STATIONS THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN ENJOY. OFFICIAL RACE TIMING
The 5K is an officially timed race, managed by Colorado Race Timing. Your chip-timed result will be recorded and available after the event. To receive an official finish time, all participants must register under the 5K registration.
5K Start Time: 9:00 AM | Family Color Run Start Time: 10:00 AM (1 hour after the 5K start)
DOING BOTH EVENTS?
5K participants are welcome and encouraged to join the Color Run after finishing the race! However, all participants who wish to run the 5K must register under the 5K registration to receive an official timed result. The Color Run registration is for Color Run-only participants.
