Join us for the 10th Annual Honor Our Heroes 5K Memorial Run on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in beautiful Oldsmar, Pinellas! This uplifting event, held in recognition of Memorial Day, will kick off with opening ceremonies at 7:00 AM near Oldsmar City Hall, followed by the race start at 7:15 AM. Runners will enjoy a scenic 5K (3.1 miles) route that winds past the Veterans Memorial Park and along the stunning waters of upper Tampa Bay.
This family-friendly race welcomes everyone from competitive runners to casual joggers, pet walkers, and strollers! Participants will receive a chipped timing bib, an official race shirt (while supplies last), and access to a vibrant post-race party featuring delicious food from Tampa Bay Brewing Company and Three Brothers NY Pizza. Plus, awards will be given to the top male and female finishers, along with the top three in each age bracket. With discounts available for military, police, fire, EMT, and students, it's the perfect way to support a great cause while celebrating community and honoring our heroes! We are very proud to announce the 10th Annual HONOR OUR HEROES 5K MEMORIAL RUN!
___OLDSMAR CARES_ [https://oldsmarcares.org/] is a for-impact 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates solely on the support of volunteers and donors. Serving the local community since 1997, we offer assistance as a food pantry, clothing closet, and other essentials, such as temporary rent and utility assistance, to those facing difficult times while keeping families together.
ON SATURDAY, 24 MAY 2025, and in recognition of Memorial Day, we continue our collaboration and veteran outreach with _VFW POST 12186._ [http://www.VFW12186.org] Our two distinguished nonprofit organizations are a 100% all-volunteer force. We are working together for a better community, and all net proceeds from the event will go toward supporting our efforts to serve residents, families, veterans, and community projects.
This year, along with a fantastic lineup of sponsors and vendors, we welcome back TAMPA BAY BREWING COMPANY (TBBC) and THREE BROTHERS NY PIZZA to help expand our afterparty menu! You won't want to miss it.
THE RACE: The opening ceremonies will begin at 7:00 am near Oldsmar City Hall. The race will start at 7:15 am, and the participants will be led down past the Veterans Memorial Park and along the beautiful waters of upper Tampa Bay.
This 5k (3.1 miles) is designed for everyone from competitive runners to casual joggers, pet walkers, and even some pushing their strollers. The finish line will greet our finishers with beverages and food for everyone.
USATF: Certified by USA Track & Field. Cert #CL25009JK [https://certifiedroadraces.com/certificate/?type=r&id=8985] and recognized by Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).
THE AWARDS! Along with your race shirts and stuffed swag bags, we will also present awards for the overall Male & Female winners. As well as the top 3 finishers in each age bracket. _Brackets include:_ ages 9 and under and then every five-year increments until 70 and over.
