STRONGER TOGETHER FOR A SAFER TOMORROW

The Hope in the Foothills 5K Walk/Run and Awareness Day raises awareness about fentanyl through prevention, education and hope. Walk or run the 5K, then spend time with the local resource groups who will be on site with educational resources, giveaways and free Narcan.

EVENT DAY DETAILS

* Start time: 8:00 AM
* Location: Doodle Park, Doodle Trail, Pickens, SC 29671
* Event: 5K Walk/Run. Walkers and runners are both welcome.
* Start and finish in the same area at Doodle Park
* Restrooms available at the Doodle Trail

COURSE

The 5K is run and walked on the road, starting and finishing in the same area at Doodle Park. Police officers will be along the route helping direct participants and traffic.

PARKING

Parking at the Doodle Trail is limited. Please plan to arrive early and carpool if you can.

AWARENESS DAY RESOURCE GROUPS

Resource groups will be on site throughout the event, including Foothills Fentanyl Fight, Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County, FAVOR, SAFELINE, the Phoenix Center and others. Stop by to learn, find support, get involved and make a difference. Educational resources and free Narcan will be available on site, along with giveaways.

    This event is about more than crossing a finish line. It's about bringing our community together to raise awareness, provide education, support those affected by substance use, remember lives lost, celebrate recovery, and offer hope. Whether you are a runner, walker, or simply want to come out and support the cause, everyone is welcome! Along with the 5K, local organizations and resource groups will be on site providing information andd support, including free narcan and educational resources. We'll also have giveaways and opportunities to connect with organizations serving the community. Purple ribbon run T-shirts are available and can be purchased in advance. Evey step helds us spread awareness about fentanyl, prevention, recovery, and the resources available right here in our community. Come walk. Come run. Come remember. Come support. Come learn. Together we can create a stronger tomorrow.
