Organiser's Description

Hope Starts Here. And It Starts With All of Us.

Fentanyl and overdose continue to impact individuals, families, and communities across the Upstate. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, a friend, and a story.

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, our community will come together at Doodle Park in Pickens for the Hope in the Foothills 5K Run & Awareness Event: Purple Ribbon Run.

This event is about more than crossing a finish line. (PLEASE NOTE: NO official times will be given for the 5K)

It is about remembering those we have lost, supporting those who are struggling, celebrating recovery, educating our community, and working together to prevent future overdoses.

The day will bring together local organizations, families, community members, and advocates for a morning centered around hope, prevention, education, and connection. Resource organizations will be on site to provide information and support, along with educational resources, free Narcan, giveaways, and opportunities to learn how each of us can make a difference.
