Participants can register for just $30 for adults and $25 for those aged 17 and under, with kids 5 and under free. The race kicks off at 9:00 am, following check-in and packet pickup starting at 7:15 am.
As you run along the USATF-certified course, you’ll enjoy the beautiful paved trails of the park while supporting a great cause. The Ian Lewis Character Scholarship will benefit deserving senior soccer players at Wake Forest High School, embodying the values Ian represented. Organiser's Description
This is the inaugural year of the IAN LEWIS MEMORIAL 5K. Held at beautiful E Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest, we are gathering to have fun, get some exercise and raise money for the Ian Lewis Character Scholarship [https://www.liveforian.com/]! Ian was a wonderful, fun-loving young man who uplifted everyone around him, and whose life was tragically cut short in 2019. The scholarship is awarded annually to a male and female senior soccer player at Wake Forest High School who is a loyal friend and teammate and who is a unifying force for the team, all qualities that Ian exhibited.
START TIME:
Check in and packet pickup beginning at 7:15 am, Race begins at 9:00 am
REGISTRATION FEES:
$30 - 18 and older, $25 - 17 and under, kids 5 and under free. Prices increase by $5 March 8th
AWARDS:
Top 3 finishers male and female
GIVEAWAY:
T-shirts included if registered by March 1st.
