This vibrant event features a thrilling 5K race starting at 8:00 AM, a fun-filled 1-mile family walk at 8:30 AM, and a delightful Toddler Waddle at 9:05 AM, all taking place in front of Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach. Celebrate the charming South African penguins while enjoying a scenic route through the bustling shopping and dining complex.
Dress up in your best penguin attire and prepare for a day filled with fun, fitness, and family! Participants will receive race swag, including a race bib, a participant medal for the 5K and 1-mile events, and a participant shirt (while supplies last). Plus, all 5K and 1-mile participants will enjoy a ticket for one entry to Ripley's Aquarium. Your participation also supports a great cause, as a portion of the proceeds goes to the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds. ABOUT RIPLEY'S PENGUIN DASH:
Ripleys Aquarium of Myrtle Beach is excited to host the Penguin Dash Run/Walk and Ripleys Penguin Family Fun 1 mile walk/run! This family-friendly, themed event will be a celebration of the South African Penguins. Guests are encouraged to dress up and all ages are welcome. There is even a free Toddler Waddle taking place in front of Ripleys Aquarium that morning at 9am. This event will start and end in front of Ripleys Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach and the route takes the runners through the Broadway at the Beach shopping and dining complex. These donations go directly toward the penguin conservation.
