The Imagine Mile Series, organized by Flagler-Palm Coast High School, is a thrilling event taking place on December 7th, 14th, and 21st in Palm Coast, Flagler. Open to children in grades 4th through 8th, this series of three 1-mile races will test the speed and endurance of young runners on the FPC track. With races starting at 8:30am, participants will compete for points in each race, with the top 3 runners in each grade level receiving series awards. At the final race on December 21st, finisher medals will be awarded to all runners who complete at least 2 of the 3 races. Organiser's Description
This is a series of three 1 mile races to be held at the track at Flagler-Palm Coast High School (FPC). The dates will be December 7th, 14th, and 21st. Races start at 8:30am. These races are open to any child in grades 4th through 8th. Each runner will run 1 mile on the track (4 laps). Although several grades may run together, results will be separated by grade level. There are no individual race awards but at the last race on December 21st, all runners who complete at least 2 of the 3 races will be given a finisher medal. We will also give out series awards for the top 3 runners in each grade level for both boys and girls. Scoring: in each race, the top 5 will be awarded points. 1st=10, 2nd=7, 3rd=5, 4th=3, and 5th=1. At the last race, points will be tallied to determine the series placings. In the event of a tie, the winner of the last head to head race will be declared the winner.
