Organiser's Description
The Cincinnati Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is pleased to announce our 2nd annual Jack and Jill Up the Hill 5K fundraiser! This family-focused run/walk event will occur on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 9:00 am at Sawyer Point. Join us as we bring the Cincinnati community together to raise funds for the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, the American Red Cross "JJ Swims" swimming education program, the Queen City Foundation, and other worthy local organizations.
Since our inception in 1953, the Cincinnati Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has supported the underserved in the tri-state area by working to meet their greatest needs. From our annual winter clothing drive to our efforts to ensure students succeed in school, we are committed to positively shaping the future. Partnering with Queen City Foundation to support their ACT/SAT preparation course has been paramount in ensuring that our target population is on a path to experience academic and career success. National statistics demonstrate that falling test scores of black and brown students are becoming the norm. To date, the ACT scores of these students average 16.9 compared to 21.3 for white students. There is work to do, and Jack and Jill remain well-positioned to offer assistance.
The Mother Members of Jack and Jill know we have the power to make a difference. With your support, we can extend our service reach and strategically build a stronger community for the future.
The Start/Finish Line will be between Yeatman's Cove and the Cincinnatus Sculpture Area.
The Fun Run will start at 8:45 am.
Parking is $5 in the E Pete Rose Way Parking Lot at Eggleston Avenue and East Pete Rose Way.
Free parking is available on the street, in the Friendship Park Parking Lot (1135 Riverside Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202), and in the Montgomery Inn Boathouse Parking Lot (925 Riverside Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202)."
