Participants will not only enjoy a delightful day outdoors but also have the chance to catch deer flies using a Tred-Not Deerfly Patch—so don’t forget to bring your favorite hat!
This year marks the 17th anniversary of the Deerfly Stomp, a tradition that has seen approximately 3,500 deer flies caught and over $14,000 donated to the Alzheimer's Association. While this is not a timed race, the thrill comes from competing to see who can catch the most deer flies, with prizes awarded to the top three “STOMPERS.” Let's come together for a day of laughter, community spirit, and support for a cause that affects millions. Catch deer flies with a Tred- Not Deerfly Patch (on your hat...BRING A HAT!!!) & raise $$$ to help fight Alzheimer's disease. Although we hope your time flies with us (see what I did there?), _THIS IS NOT A TIMED EVENT_.
The winner is the STOMPER who _CATCHES THE MOST NUMBER OF DEER FLIES_. Yes, we will actually count the deer flies. Rules? There's not a lot of rules...the "Dee Berry" rule (you can't steal somebody else's patch) is the only real rule. Prizes to top 3 STOMPERS!

Health and long-term care costs for people living with dementia are projected to reach $360 billion in 2024 and nearly $1 trillion in 2050.
About 1 in 9 people (10.9%) age 65 and older has Alzheimers dementia.
1 IN 3 Seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
It kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined.
The lifetime risk for Alzheimer's at age 45 is 1 in 5 for women and 1 in 10 for men.
Alzheimer's disease was the fifth-leading cause of death among people age 65 and older in 2021.
