Participants can choose between two exhilarating routes: a 10-mile round trip to Virgie Church or a more challenging 34.4-mile trek to Fair Oaks Farms. Both rides kick off from The Rec/Connection Center, with check-in starting at 8:15 A.M. CST and the ride beginning at 9:00 A.M. CST. While this is not a timed event, riders are encouraged to enjoy the experience at their own pace while prioritizing safety. Helmets are mandatory, and all minors must be accompanied by an adult. Water stations and restrooms will be available for your convenience, ensuring you have everything you need for a delightful day on the bike. Join in on the 2025 Jasper Jaunt hosted by the Jasper County Trails Club! Come and enjoy a beautiful bike ride through Jasper County with family, friends, and fellow bicyclists!
$25 to register. Kids 12 and under are free!
* Check-in Time - 8:15 A.M. CST
* Ride Start - 9:00 A.M. CST
There are two route options; both beginning at The Rec/Connection Center.
* The Rec to Virgie Church and Back (10 miles round trip): Start at The Rec, head south on 700 W for 5 miles to Virgie Church at corner of 700 W and 700 N, turn around and head back north to Calvary Assembly.
* The Rec to Fair Oaks Farms and Back (34.4 miles round trip): Start at The Rec, head south on 700W (5 miles), turn right at Virgie Church/700N and head west to 1000W (3 miles), turn left and head south (2 miles) to 500 N, turn right and head west (2 miles) to 1200 W, turn left and head south (5.2 miles) to Fair Oaks Farms. Head back to The Rec on your bike via the same route OR arrange for a friend to pick you up at Fair Oaks. PLEASE NOTE: SHUTTLE SERVICES WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BACK TO THE REC.
Indoor restrooms will be available at The Rec and Fair Oaks. Bike Cleats are not allowed inside either location. A water station will be provided at Virgie Church. Feel free to stop in at The Farmhouse or Dairycatessen at the gas station for a bite to eat!

* Jaunt will happen rain or shine with the exception for lighting/extreme weather event.
* Event shirts included with registration if registered by May 23. No shirt guarantee after that.
* Complimentary bike lights will be given to the first 100 to register!

* BIKE HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE.
* ALL MINORS 17 AND UNDER MUST BE REGISTERED WITH AN ACCOMPANYING ADULT.
* THE SAFETY WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED TO PARTICIPATE.
* A WATER STATION WILL BE PROVIDED AT VIRGIE CHURCH. HOWEVER, PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN HYDRATION FOR THE REST OF THE RIDE.
* SOME POLICE MAY VISUALLY MONITOR A COUPLE KEY INTERSECTIONS, BUT ROADS WILL NOT BE CLOSED OFF TO TRAFFIC.
* ROAD RIDING IN THE JASPER JAUNT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND IN EXTREME CASES COULD EVEN LEAD TO DEATH. BY PARTICIPATING, YOU ARE WILLINGLY TAKING THE RISK OF PUTTING YOURSELF IN HARMS WAY. THIS IS NOT A RACE, SO PLEASE MAKE YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH YOUR TOP PRIORITY.
* THIS EVENT IS FUN, BUT DANGEROUS AND BRINGS KEEN AWARENESS TO THE NEED FOR A TRAIL OR ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PATHS IN JASPER COUNTY.
