Get ready for an exhilarating day of cycling at the Jasper Jaunt 2026, taking place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in the scenic town of DeMotte, Jasper County! This exciting event invites cyclists of all ages to explore the beautiful landscapes of Jasper County with two fantastic route options: a 10-mile round trip from The Rec/Connection Center to Virgie Church, or a more challenging 34.4-mile round trip to the renowned Fair Oaks Farms.
Registration is just $25, and kids 12 and under can join for free! Check-in begins at 8:15 A.M. CST with the ride starting promptly at 9:00 A.M. CST. Participants will enjoy a fun-filled day with complimentary bike lights for the first 100 registrants, and event shirts will be provided for those who register by May 23. Remember, this is not a timed event, so it’s all about enjoying the ride and the company of fellow biking enthusiasts! With indoor restrooms available and a water station at Virgie Church, this is an event you won't want to miss, rain or shine. Join us for a memorable day of cycling, community, and adventure!

Join in on the 2026 Jasper Jaunt hosted by the Jasper County Trails Club! Come and enjoy a beautiful bike ride through Jasper County with family, friends, and fellow bicyclists!
$25 to register. Kids 12 and under are free!
* Check-in Time - 8:15 A.M. CST
* Ride Start - 9:00 A.M. CST
There are two route options; both beginning at The Rec/Connection Center.
* The Rec to Virgie Church and Back (10 miles round trip): Start at The Rec, head south on 700 W for 5 miles to Virgie Church at corner of 700 W and 700 N, turn around and head back north to Calvary Assembly.
* The Rec to Fair Oaks Farms and Back (34.4 miles round trip): Start at The Rec, head south on 700W (5 miles), turn right at Virgie Church/700N and head west to 1000W (3 miles), turn left and head south (2 miles) to 500 N, turn right and head west (2 miles) to 1200 W, turn left and head south (5.2 miles) to Fair Oaks Farms. Head back to The Rec on your bike via the same route OR arrange for a friend to pick you up at Fair Oaks. PLEASE NOTE: SHUTTLE SERVICES WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BACK TO THE REC.
Indoor restrooms will be available at The Rec and Fair Oaks. Bike Cleats are not allowed inside either location. A water station will be provided at Virgie Church. Feel free to stop in at The Farmhouse or Dairycatessen at the gas station for a bite to eat!

* Event shirts included with registration if registered by May 23. No shirt guarantee after that.
* Complimentary bike lights will be given to the first 100 to register!
SAFETY INFO:
* BIKE HELMETS ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE.
* ALL MINORS 17 AND UNDER MUST BE REGISTERED WITH AN ACCOMPANYING ADULT.
* THE SAFETY WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED TO PARTICIPATE.
* A WATER STATION WILL BE PROVIDED AT VIRGIE CHURCH. HOWEVER, PARTICIPANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN HYDRATION FOR THE REST OF THE RIDE.
* SOME POLICE MAY VISUALLY MONITOR A COUPLE KEY INTERSECTIONS, BUT ROADS WILL NOT BE CLOSED OFF TO TRAFFIC.
* ROAD RIDING IN THE JASPER JAUNT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND IN EXTREME CASES COULD EVEN LEAD TO DEATH. BY PARTICIPATING, YOU ARE WILLINGLY TAKING THE RISK OF PUTTING YOURSELF IN HARMS WAY. THIS IS NOT A RACE, SO PLEASE MAKE YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH YOUR TOP PRIORITY.
* THIS EVENT IS FUN, BUT DANGEROUS AND BRINGS KEEN AWARENESS TO THE NEED FOR A TRAIL OR ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PATHS IN JASPER COUNTY.
