Join us for Joes Early Bird 5k at Kirby Park on Sunday, September 22, 2024. This event is dedicated to Joe, a beloved community member, who is courageously battling esophageal cancer. Many of you know him as the Executive Editor of the Times Leader, where he has worked since 1989.
As Joe faces this challenging journey, he is incurring significant medical costs. The Joes Early Bird 5k aims to raise funds to support Joe and his family with these expenses, ensuring he receives the best possible care.
Registration begins at 7am. 5k starting at 8am. 1 mile walk start at 8:10am.
T-shirts will be available to the first 100 participants with sizes ranging from Small to XL so lets set our alarms and get moving for this wonderful individual who is fighting so incredibly hard!!!
Joe is an avid runner and cant wait to get back out there, bright, or dark early in the morning! This run is dedicated to him, and his love of the early morning run with his favorite Fit Chicks #ugh
