Join us for the inspiring Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run, taking place from May 1 to May 30, 2027, in beautiful Ewa Beach, Honolulu. This uplifting event is held in memory of Kaylan Haywood, an extraordinary 11-year-old who bravely faced DIPG, a type of brain cancer. The Fun Run aims to unite our community and raise vital funds to support families affected by DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer, while also contributing to research for a cure.
Participants can choose to join the in-person run on May 11 at 9 a.m. at Kapapapuhi Point Park in Ewa Beach or take part in a Virtual Run from anywhere in the world throughout the month of May. We encourage everyone to share photos of your participation, showcasing the global support for our mission. For those on The Big Island, there will be a special in-person option at Old Airport in Kailua-Kona. Together, let's honor Kaylan's legacy and make a difference for families in need. Organiser's Description
Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run is held in honor of Kaylan Haywood. She was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffused Intrusive Pontine Glioma) a brain tumor in the brain stem. She was an active, fun loving, caring 11 yr old full of life. Her wish was for our Ohana to be there for other Ohana's effected by DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer. So we founded Kaylan Strong's Fight Like A Warrior Foundation to help Ohana's here in Hawaii. Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run is here to raise money for these Ohana's to help financially through the hardest time in their life. Also to help raise funds to find a cure for DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer. This year sign up will have two options one will be for Oahu, HI participants on May 11th at Kapapapuhi Point Park in (West Lock) Ewa Beach at 9am and the other for Virtual Run(where you can participate anywhere around the world from May 1st thru 31st. We ask that you please send us phots of you and whoever joins you and where you are participating at. We would love to share how many people around the world are joining us in our fight to help Ohana's here in Hawaii with DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer and also help find a cure for DIPG. If you are on The Big Island please sign up for Virtual(so we can send out shirt), but there will be a Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run option to participate in person at Old Airport in Kailua-Kona. OPENS 09 JAN 27This years event will be in West Lock, Ewa Beach close to Queens West Hospital. Kapapapuhi Point Park formally known as West Lock Point Park . So excited for our new location. We will have face painting, A couple raffle items and our 50/50 raffle. Winners will be announced at end of Fun Run. -

OPENS 09 JAN 27This event is held at Old Airport in Kailua-Kona, HI. Pavilion number #1 on beach side and walking path is across the parking lot. There will be coffee provided by UCC Hawaii. Bring you swim clothes and you can go beach after and make it a family day. -

OPENS 10 JAN 27This is for those who can not join us on May 3rd on Oahu or May 25th in Kona you can do it virtually from anywhere in the world. Go out and exercise like Kaylan loved to do. You can go hiking, walking, swimming, do a sport. Just go out and have fun doing it with your family and friends.
