Join us for the Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run this May, as we come together to honor the spirited legacy of Kaylan Haywood, an inspiring 11-year-old who bravely faced DIPG (Diffused Intrusive Pontine Glioma). Taking place in beautiful Ewa Beach, Honolulu, this uplifting event runs from May 1st to May 31st, 2026, with an in-person run set for May 11th at Kapapapuhi Point Park starting at 9 AM.
Participants can choose to join us on-site or participate virtually from anywhere in the world throughout the month. This event aims to raise critical funds to support families affected by Childhood Brain Cancer while also contributing to vital research for a cure. Whether you’re running in Oahu, or joining from afar, we encourage everyone to share their photos and stories as we unite in this important cause. Let’s make a difference together and show our Ohana spirit as we run for Kaylan and all those impacted by this disease!

Organiser's Description
Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run is held in honor of Kaylan Haywood. She was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffused Intrusive Pontine Glioma) a brain tumor in the brain stem. She was an active, fun loving, caring 11 yr old full of life. Her wish was for our Ohana to be there for other Ohana's effected by DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer. So we founded Kaylan Strong's Fight Like A Warrior Foundation to help Ohana's here in Hawaii. Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run is here to raise money for these Ohana's to help financially through the hardest time in their life. Also to help raise funds to find a cure for DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer. This year sign up will have two options one will be for Oahu, HI participants on May 11th at Kapapapuhi Point Park in (West Lock) Ewa Beach at 9am and the other for Virtual Run(where you can participate anywhere around the world from May 1st thru 31st. We ask that you please send us phots of you and whoever joins you and where you are participating at. We would love to share how many people around the world are joining us in our fight to help Ohana's here in Hawaii with DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer and also help find a cure for DIPG. If you are on The Big Island please sign up for Virtual(so we can send out shirt), but there will be a Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run option to participate in person at Old Airport in Kailua-Kona. OPENS 20 JAN 26This years event will be in West Lock, Ewa Beach close to Queens West Hospital. Kapapapuhi Point Park formally known as West Lock Point Park . So excited for our new location. We will have face painting, A couple raffle items and our 50/50 raffle. Winners will be announced at end of Fun Run. -

OPENS 28 JAN 26This event is held at Old Airport in Kailua-Kona, HI. Pavilion number #1 on beach side and walking path is across the parking lot. There will be coffee provided by UCC Hawaii. Bring you swim clothes and you can go beach after and make it a family day. -

OPENS 22 JAN 26This is for those who can not join us on May 3rd on Oahu or May 25th in Kona you can do it virtually from anywhere in the world. Go out and exercise like Kaylan loved to do. You can go hiking, walking, swimming, do a sport. Just go out and have fun doing it with your family and friends. Take pictures and post them of our social media platforms or send them to me.
