Organiser's Description

Explore the scenic Glenroy Preserve trails at the fourth annual Kettle Cooker Five & Dime on October 4th, 2027 presented by Herr's Snacks and Altra Running, along with many local sponsors! It takes a village!

Glenroy Preserve is a beautiful outdoor playground that also happens to be rich in history. Some of the trails will take you through parts of the Underground Railroad, while even running past a tavern that was said to have served patrons during the Civil War.

Each distance is a loop. The 10 mile and 25K distances will follow the same course but then split around mile 9. ALL distances offer plenty of hills, creek crossings, mixed terrain, and plenty of on-course support.

Start time is 8:00am for ALL distances.

Registered runners will enjoy:

* Entry to the 5 mile, 25K, or 50K trail race
* Chip timing
* Soft race tee courtesy of Altra
* Water and nutrition on course at all three (4) aid stations
* A complimentary beer post race (21+)
* Post race snacks, food, and music

THERE WILL BE TWO PRE-RACE PACKET PICKUPS:

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2 TBD

    $48.70

    OPENS 04 MAY
    This is a five mile loop through some of the most beautifully maintained trails with plenty of undulation! The terrain can be technical, in part, so we would suggest wearing a trail specific running shoe for better traction and drainage because rocks can be slick and there are 3 creek crossings.
  • Kettle Cooker 25K

    Incl. $4.90 Fee & T-Shirt

    Sun 4th October 2026 (8:00AM EDT)

    $69.90

    OPENS 04 MAY
    The 25K follows the five mile loop until around mile 4 when it diverts to trails that are unique to this distance! The terrain can be technical, in part, so we would suggest wearing a trail specific running shoe for better traction and drainage because rocks can be slick and there are at least 6 creek crossings.
  • Kettle Cooker 50K

    OPENS 04 MAY
    The 50K follows the 5 mile loop until around mile 4 when it diverts to trails that are unique to this distance! The 50K is two (2) loops of the 25K so you will pass through all aid stations twice. The terrain can be technical, in part, so we would suggest wearing a trail specific running shoe for better traction and drainage because rocks can be slick and there are at least 6 creek crossings.
