Whether you’re competing for awards in various age divisions or simply enjoying the festivities, your presence will contribute to brighter futures for children in need. Race day activities kick off with packet pickup on November 13 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce, and race day packet pickup starts at 6 AM at the Sparkman Civic Center. The very first Key to a Cure 5K is ready to make its debut in true Alabamian fashion as this brand new race tradition begins. Under our motto, "CaringOur Way of Life," this event is all about coming together, lifting each other up, and stepping out to create a brighter future for tomorrow.

The Bright Futures 5k and Fun Run is brand-new, and we are racing to make a difference. Every single dollar raised goes straight to Childrens of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham to support vital research, daily operations, and most importantly, the children.
While the cause is close to our hearts, weve also designed an unforgettable day of celebration for you and your family!

We would be extremely grateful for your support in this initiative! If you would like to donate extra towards this cause you will be prompted in registration along with in person donation opportunities.
