Get ready for a fantastic opportunity for kids to get active and support a great cause with "Kids Run the Line TOO!" This exciting virtual race and fundraiser runs from November 3, 2025, to February 15, 2026, in Texarkana, Bowie. Designed to engage students in physical activity, this initiative encourages them to pledge for miles as they run during P.E. classes, at home, or anywhere they choose!

Throughout the three-month period, students will be motivated to accumulate miles while collecting donations that will directly benefit the Partnership for the Pathways, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding trails in Texarkana. Plus, participants can earn fantastic incentives, including wristbands, stickers, water bottles, and even T-shirts based on the amount they raise! The grand finale, the "Last Leg," takes place on February 15, 2026, coinciding with race day, where kids and their families can come together for a fun run, celebrating their hard work and accomplishments. Join in on the fun and help foster a healthy lifestyle for our youth while enhancing the community's outdoor spaces!

OBJECTIVE:
WE ARE EXCITED TO INTRODUCE THE KIDS RUN THE LINE, TOO VIRTUAL RACE AND FUNDRAISER, DESIGNED TO ENGAGE STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WHILE SUPPORTING A GREAT CAUSE. THIS INITIATIVE COMPLEMENTS THE RUN THE LINE HALF MARATHON IN TEXARKANA, USA.

HOW IT WORKS:

PLEDGING FOR MILES: STUDENTS WILL SECURE PLEDGES FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS FOR EACH MILE THEY RUN DURING P.E. CLASSES, AT HOME, OR WHEREVER!

RUNNING FOR A CAUSE: THE MILES WILL BE ACCUMULATED OVER A THREE MONTH TIME PERIOD, PROMOTING FITNESS AND HEALTHY HABITS AMONG STUDENTS. EACH WEEK, COACHES OR PARENTS CAN SUBMIT A PHOTO OF THE KIDS WHO COMPLETE THEIR MILE, AND THE SCHOOLS WITH PARTICIPANTS ON TRACK WILL RECEIVE A SOCIAL MEDIA SHOUTOUT. COLLECTING DONATIONS: THROUGHOUT THE RUNNING PERIOD, STUDENTS WILL COLLECT THE PLEDGED AMOUNTS, WHICH WILL DIRECTLY SUPPORT THE PARTNERSHIP FOR THE PATHWAYS, A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO FUNDING TRAILS IN TEXARKANA.

INCENTIVES:
STUDENTS WHO COLLECT AT LEAST $15 IN PLEDGES WILL RECEIVE A WRISTBAND AND A STICKER.
STUDENTS WHO COLLECT AT LEAST $25 IN PLEDGES WILL RECEIVE A WATER BOTTLE.
STUDENTS WHO COLLECT AT LEAST $50 IN PLEDGES WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT AS A REWARD.
THOSE WHO COMPLETE THE FUN RUN ON RACE DAY WILL EARN A MEDAL FOR THEIR ACHIEVEMENT.

SPECIAL EVENT:
THE "LAST LEG" IS SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 15, 2026, COINCIDING WITH THE BIG RACE DAY. KIDS (AND THEIR FAMILIES) WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A FUN RUN, CELEBRATING THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS TOGETHER.

BENEFITS FOR SCHOOLS:
PROMOTES PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO ENGAGE IN EXERCISE IN A FUN AND MEANINGFUL WAY. FOR YOUNGER STUDENTS, BREAKING UP THE MILES IN SMALLER INCREMENTS IS ENCOURAGED. WELL PROVIDE 13 MINI HEALTH MOMENTS FOR YOU TO USE TO KEEP YOUR STUDENTS ENERGIZED AND MOTIVATED (POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA).

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: STUDENTS WILL INVOLVE THEIR FAMILIES AND LOCAL COMMUNITY, FOSTERING A SENSE OF TEAMWORK AND SUPPORT. INVITE FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO RACE DAY, AND MAKE IT AN EXCITING ATMOSPHERE FOR YOUR CHILD. THE POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT WILL GO A LONG WAY IN THEIR JOURNEY TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

    Objective: We are excited to introduce the Kids Run the Line, Too virtual race and fundraiser, designed to engage students in physical activity while supporting a great cause. This initiative complements the Run the Line half marathon in Texarkana, USA. How It Works: Pledging for Miles: Students will secure pledges from family and friends for each mile they run during P.E. classes, at home, or wherever! Running for a Cause: The miles will be accumulated over a three month time period, promoting fitness and healthy habits among students. Each week, coaches or parents can submit a photo of the kids who complete their mile, and the schools with participants on track will receive a social media shoutout. Collecting Donations: Throughout the running period, students will collect the pledged amounts, which will directly support the Partnership for the Pathways, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding trails in Texarkana. Participation Details: Cost to Participate: Free of charge! Incentives: Students who collect at least $15 in pledges will receive a wristband and a sticker. Students who collect at least $25 in pledges will receive a water bottle. Students who collect at least $50 in pledges will receive a t-shirt as a reward. Those who complete the fun run on race day will earn a medal for their achievement. Special Event: The "Last Leg" is scheduled for February 15, 2026, coinciding with the big race day. For younger students, breaking up the miles in smaller increments is encouraged.
