Get ready for a day filled with excitement and adventure at the Kids TRYathlon in South Hero, taking place on Saturday, August 16th, 2025! Hosted at the picturesque White's Beach in Grand Isle, this annual event is all about fun, fitness, and friendly competition, designed for kids of all ages and abilities. With two race distances tailored to different age groups, young participants can choose between a Short Distance for ages 4-8, featuring a 50m swim, 0.5mi bike ride, and a 0.25mi run, or a Medium Distance for ages 8-13, which includes a 75m swim, 1.5mi bike ride, and a 0.75mi run.
The Kids TRYathlon encourages everyone to join in the fun—no experience is required! With a relaxed atmosphere, there are no timers or pressure, just a fantastic day of trying new things and cheering for friends. Participants will enjoy snacks, high fives, and even raffle prizes to celebrate their accomplishments. Check-in begins at 9:30 AM, with the event kicking off at 10 AM. Get ready for fun, fitness, and finish lines! The kids TRYathlon is a low-key, all-abilities event deigned to get kids of all ages moving, laughing, and trying something new. No Experience required-just a sense of adventure and a smile!
Participants will swim (or splash!), bike, and run their way through a course tailored to different age groups and comfort levels (there are 2 different distances to choose from based on age/ability). There are no timers, and no pressure, just a great day of TRYing hard and cheering loud. Snacks, high fives and raffle prizes for all finishers! Check-in/race day registration opens at 9:30am, with event start at 10am.
