Organiser's Description
This 5k walk/run will wind through the beautiful Longview Lake area. This race will benefit the Kill the Fill Political Action Committee fighting to keep a landfill from being developed in South Kansas City, MO.
A private developer is targeting South Kansas City for a landfill. This particular location is across the street from an elementary school, 2 miles upstream from Longview Lake with 3 other lakes within 3 miles and in the middle of existing neighborhoods containing over 40,000 residents.
This weekend is a KC Chiefs Bye weekend so come out and help us fight this impending environmental disaster. Your contributions will support our Political Action Committee which is working day and night to save our neighborhood.
